The product surface is unusual. Surveys behave like programs, business workflows contain hidden operational nuance, and a small mistake can create real downstream cost for an agency and its clients. That means product thinking here is not about copying familiar SaaS patterns. It is about understanding how work is actually done, identifying where AI agents can reliably help, and shaping systems that feel intuitive to users while introducing genuinely new workflows underneath.

The Role

Youll be paired with a senior product manager and work closely with senior engineers on a live, shipping product area. Think of this as a structured apprenticeship into product management: youll take on real pieces of the work — sitting in on user calls, drafting write-ups, helping think through a feature — with a senior PM reviewing, coaching, and gradually handing you more rope as you show youre ready for it.

This role is for someone early in their career who is curious, organized, and eager to learn how product decisions actually get made — not someone expected to already operate independently in ambiguity. Youll be given scoped pieces of larger problems, not owning full ambiguity solo.

What Youll Do

• Sit in on user interviews with research operators, project managers, and agency leaders — and take the lead on some, once youre ready — to learn how work actually happens.

• Take structured notes and help organize what you hear into clear themes, with a senior PM helping you spot what matters.

• Start recognizing the difference between what a user asks for and the real problem underneath, with coaching.

• Help write up product ideas, user flows, and simple requirements docs for a senior PM to review and refine.

• Take a first pass at breaking a defined problem into smaller, engineering-sized pieces, with guidance.

• Help build and test simple prototypes or mockups to get early feedback from users and the team.

• Sit in on engineering discussions to learn how requirements turn into shipped software.

• Answer engineers clarifying questions on the pieces of work you own, escalating to your senior PM when youre unsure.

• Track the status of the features youre closest to and flag blockers early.

• Help gather feedback after something ships — from users, from support tickets, from usage data — and summarize what you find.

• Notice when something isnt working as intended and bring it to your senior PM rather than being expected to fix it solo.
  
  

Representative Problems

Examples of the kinds of problems youll get exposure to, usually as part of a larger effort led by a senior PM:

• Helping map out how a raw client questionnaire currently becomes a survey, as input to redesigning that workflow.

• Sitting in on the design of review and approval loops where human operators check AI agent output.

• Documenting how a fragmented project-management flow works today, so a senior PM can redesign it.

• Taking notes from conversations with internal subject matter experts and turning them into a simple written summary.
  
  

What Were Looking For

Must Have

• 0-2 years of full-time experience, or strong internship experience, in a business, technical, or analytical role — product management background is a plus but not required.

• Strong written communication — you can summarize a conversation or a problem clearly and simply.

• Genuine curiosity about how software products get built, and comfort asking questions when you dont understand something.

• Comfort talking to people outside your own function (users, engineers, designers) and taking good notes from those conversations.

• Basic organizational skills — you can track a few moving pieces of work and follow up without things falling through the cracks.

• Coachability — youre looking for regular feedback and want a senior PM actively shaping your growth, not a fully independent role.

Nice to Have

• Some exposure to how software gets built (a technical degree, a coding bootcamp, an engineering internship, or just genuine interest).

• Any prior exposure to B2B software, workflow tools, or AI products.

• Familiarity with tools like Figma, Notion, or basic SQL — not required, easy to pick up on the job.
