Job Description

The Supply Chain Planner is a pivotal position responsible for managing the end-to-end supply chain process within an organization. This role involves forecasting demand, planning inventory levels, and ensuring the timely delivery of products to meet customer expectations. The Supply Chain Planner collaborates with various departments including procurement, logistics, production, and sales to optimize supply chain operations, enhance efficiency, and minimize costs. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a keen understanding of market trends, and the ability to develop and implement strategies for supply chain improvement. The role requires a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with vendors and customers.


Responsibilities

  • Analyze market trends and customer demand to create accurate supply forecasts.
  • Work closely with procurement to ensure timely sourcing of materials.
  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock is available without overstocking.
  • Coordinate with production teams to align supply plans with manufacturing schedules.
  • Collaborate with logistics to ensure the timely and cost-effective transportation of goods.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to the supply chain and logistics processes.
  • Prepare and present reports on supply chain performance and improvement opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure reliability.
  • Maintain a database of supply chain information for forecasting and decision-making purposes.
  • Analyze and resolve supply chain issues in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Lead initiatives to drive supply chain innovation and process improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in a supply chain planning role.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes, forecasting, and inventory management.
  • Proficiency in supply chain software and tools, such as ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building supplier and customer relationships.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
