Responsibilities

• Create detailed drawings and plans for structural frameworks and components.
• Collaborate with engineers and architects to understand project specifications.
• Convert sketches and designs into technical drawings and blueprints.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations in drafts.
• Revise and update plans based on feedback from engineers and architects.
• Participate in project meetings to discuss technical drawings and suggestions.
• Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to produce 2D and 3D models.
• Maintain an organized database of all drawings and project documents.
• Produce accurate bill of materials based on project specifications and designs.
• Verify dimensions and measures of structural elements for accuracy.
• Coordinate with construction teams to provide accurate draft versions.
• Conduct field visits to gather information on site conditions as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred in drafting or similar field.
• Proven experience in structural drafting or a similar role is required.
• Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD or Revit, is essential.
• Strong understanding of construction and civil engineering principles.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills are mandatory.
• Ability to communicate effectively with engineers, architects, and construction teams.
