Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive safety policies and procedures for the workplace.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and risks.
• Provide training and educational programs to employees on safety protocols and practices.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine cause and prevent recurrence.
• Liaise with external regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Prepare and submit detailed reports on safety performance and compliance metrics.
• Coordinate emergency response drills and manage emergency preparedness initiatives.
• Advise management on safety-related issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain records and documentation related to safety audits, training, and incidents.
• Foster a culture of safety awareness and responsibility among all employees.
• Evaluate and recommend safety equipment and personal protective gear usage.
• Implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential workplace hazards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a safety-related role, ideally in a similar industry.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to train and influence others.
• Proven ability to identify potential risks and implement effective safety measures.
• Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable for the role.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment.
