As a Production Merchandiser in the Garments Industry, your role involves managing and coordinating the production process from conception to completion. You act as the bridge between the design, manufacturing, and sales teams to ensure that products are produced on time, meet quality standards, and fulfill customer expectations. Your organizational skills, attention to detail, and understanding of garment production processes will be fundamental in driving the success of production operations. You will be responsible for maintaining supplier relationships, ensuring production schedules are adhered to, and managing quality standards throughout the production cycle. Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage all aspects of garment production processes from start to finish.
• Liaise with designers and suppliers to ensure accurate interpretation of designs.
• Develop and maintain production schedules to meet project deadlines effectively.
• Monitor production quality and ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to negotiate costs and contracts.
• Track and manage inventory levels to ensure sufficient supply and minimize excess.
• Oversee sample approvals and ensure they meet customer specifications and expectations.
• Work closely with sales and marketing teams to align production with market demands.
• Prepare detailed production reports and analyze data to improve efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all production areas.
• Facilitate effective communication between internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Identify and implement solutions to production-related challenges and setbacks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Textiles, Business, or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience in the garment industry, particularly in production roles.
• Strong knowledge of garment production processes and quality control standards.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficient in using production management software and relevant computer applications.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills for dealing with suppliers and clients.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
