Job Description

As an Onsite Infrastructure Support Resource, you will be an essential part of our IT team, responsible for maintaining and enhancing the physical and virtual IT infrastructure. You will provide onsite technical support, configure hardware and software systems, and ensure the efficient running of network systems at the organization’s premises. You will act as a primary point of contact for resolving a wide range of IT issues and challenges. This role requires strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the infrastructure supports current and future business operations seamlessly.


Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt and effective onsite technical support for all users and departments.
  • Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
  • Manage the operational aspects of hardware and software, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
  • Assist in setting up, testing, and maintaining network communication systems and infrastructure.
  • Monitor and evaluate existing network systems and provide improvement suggestions to the IT team.
  • Respond quickly to any service disruption, investigating and resolving the root cause efficiently.
  • Document and track all issues, resolutions, and changes within the IT infrastructure environment.
  • Conduct periodic audits and updates to ensure security compliance across all IT infrastructure.
  • Coordinate with external providers to maintain effective service and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Train end-users on new hardware, software, and technical processes to minimize downtime.
  • Create and manage documentation for IT processes, hardware, and software configurations.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members on projects and strategic IT infrastructure initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in an IT support or infrastructure role.
  • Proficiency with Windows/Linux systems, network management, and security protocols.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V is advantageous.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate teamwork and client support.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
