Job Description

An Inventory Executive plays a crucial role within a company's supply chain and logistics operations. This position is integral to ensuring that inventory levels are maintained accurately, providing the necessary resources for production, sales, and customer service activities. The Inventory Executive is responsible for tracking and managing stock levels, ensuring an efficient flow of goods from suppliers to customers while minimizing excess inventory costs. This role requires careful planning, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work closely with different departments, including purchasing, production, and sales, to forecast inventory needs and respond to fluctuations in demand. Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels regularly.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
  • Develop and implement effective inventory control procedures and policies.
  • Liaise with production, purchasing, and sales teams to forecast inventory needs.
  • Analyze sales trends and market demands to adjust inventory levels accordingly.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to validate stock accuracy and integrity.
  • Prepare detailed inventory reports for management review and strategic planning.
  • Optimize inventory storage and handling efficiencies to reduce costs.
  • Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues throughout the inventory process.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies regarding inventory.
  • Implement strategies to minimize wastage, obsolescence, and stock loss effectively.
  • Train and guide junior staff on inventory management systems and processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience as an Inventory Executive or in a similar inventory management role.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in managing inventory levels.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-department coordination.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement initiatives.
