Job Description

The Inventory Executive is a critical role within a company's supply chain operations, responsible for overseeing and managing inventory levels, tracking product distribution, and optimizing inventory processes. This role requires meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in stock management and the ability to analyze and predict inventory needs to prevent shortages or overstock situations. The Inventory Executive will collaborate closely with various departments, including procurement, sales, and logistics, to ensure seamless flow of goods from suppliers to customers. An effective Inventory Executive will assist in maintaining cost-effective inventory levels, managing the storage system efficiently, and implementing best practices for inventory management that align with the company’s strategic goals.


Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to maintain optimal stock quantities.
  • Develop and implement effective inventory management strategies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely replenishment of stock items.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure inventory records match physical stock levels.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and forecast future inventory needs.
  • Work alongside sales and marketing to align product availability with demand forecasts.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure quality, availability, and cost-effectiveness of products.
  • Manage and enhance inventory tracking systems to improve transparency and efficiency.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and track root causes of inconsistencies.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards in inventory management.
  • Oversee the disposal of obsolete or excess inventory in accordance with policies.
  • Prepare detailed inventory reports and present findings to senior management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in inventory management or a similar operational role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret inventory data effectively.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail are required.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate cross-functionally with team members.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
