Responsibilities

• Consult with clients to determine their needs, preferences, and budget for interior spaces.
• Develop detailed design plans using design software such as AutoCAD or SketchUp.
• Create aesthetically pleasing and functional spaces that align with client and project goals.
• Select color schemes, furniture, fixtures, and decor to enhance space utility and appeal.
• Coordinate with project managers and construction teams to ensure design integrity is maintained.
• Prepare and present detailed presentations and design proposals to stakeholders.
• Ensure all designs comply with regulatory, environmental, safety, and building standards.
• Research materials and furnishings, source samples, and negotiate with vendors and suppliers.
• Stay updated on current interior design trends, materials, and sustainability practices.
• Revise design plans to incorporate changes in client needs or project constraints.
• Visit project sites to ensure designs are implemented accurately and resolve any issues.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, and team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field required.
• Proven experience in interior design, with a portfolio of completed projects.
• Proficiency in design software tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong understanding of design principles, color theory, and space planning.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate design concepts to clients and stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adhere to deadlines.
• Certification from NCIDQ or other recognized bodies is highly desirable.
