Job Description

The Housekeeping Supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of all facilities within an establishment. This role involves supervising housekeeping staff, overseeing daily cleaning activities, and ensuring that cleanliness standards are consistently met or exceeded. The Housekeeping Supervisor must possess excellent communication skills and be able to train and mentor staff effectively. They are responsible for conducting regular inspections, managing inventory levels, and implementing safety regulations. Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all activities of the housekeeping department.
  • Train, guide, and motivate housekeeping staff to ensure efficient operations.
  • Perform regular inspections to ensure cleanliness standards are maintained.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive cleaning schedule for all facilities.
  • Manage and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Address and resolve client or guest complaints efficiently and effectively.
  • Collaborate with management to set goals and objectives for the housekeeping team.
  • Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules and maintenance requests.
  • Assist in hiring and onboarding new housekeeping staff as required.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to housekeeping staff.
  • Ensure that all housekeeping equipment is properly maintained and serviced.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; higher education preferred.
  • Proven experience as a housekeeping supervisor or in a similar role.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills are essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are needed.
  • Ability to manage a team and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
  • Familiarity with cleaning materials, equipment, and techniques is required.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
