The Housekeeping Supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness, orderliness, and hygiene of a facility, ensuring that all housekeeping operations run smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the housekeeping staff.

  • Train new housekeeping staff members on proper techniques and protocols.
  • Address and resolve guest complaints regarding housekeeping services timely.
  • Ensure adequate inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment is maintained.
  • Monitor housekeeping expenses to stay within the budget and control costs.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and service delivery.
  • Keep accurate records of housekeeping activities, inspections, and team performance.
  • Implement health and safety standards to mitigate risks for staff and guests.
  • Create a supportive and motivating environment for the housekeeping team.
  • Lead weekly meetings with staff to communicate updates and gather feedback.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a housekeeping supervisory role or similar position.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to handle complaints and resolve situations diplomatically.
  • Familiarity with cleaning techniques and hazardous waste management.
  • Proficiency in using housekeeping management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate a diverse team.
