Job Description

As a Food Quality Controller, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality within our organization. You will be responsible for overseeing the quality and safety of food products, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and industry best practices. This role demands meticulous attention to detail and a comprehensive understanding of food production processes and regulatory requirements. Your efforts will directly contribute to maintaining consumer trust and satisfaction by ensuring products meet both corporate and customer expectations. The successful candidate will work closely with production and quality teams to implement quality assurance protocols and drive continuous improvement initiatives.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily inspections of food products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance protocols and procedures for food safety.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections and prepare detailed reports for management review.
  • Collaborate with production teams to address and rectify any quality-related issues promptly.
  • Monitor and evaluate operations to ensure adherence to food safety regulations.
  • Train staff on quality control measures and promote quality culture within the organization.
  • Investigate customer complaints related to food quality and implement corrective actions.
  • Perform audits of food manufacturing processes and suggest improvements where necessary.
  • Analyze and interpret quality control data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure all equipment and processes meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the development of new products by providing quality and safety assessments.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes in food safety and quality assurance practices.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field.
  • Proven experience in food quality control or assurance in a similar industry setting.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and industry standards for food quality.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in using quality control software tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
  • Certification in HACCP or other food safety standards would be considered an asset.
