Job Description

A Field Sales Executive plays a pivotal role in driving a company's revenue by maintaining relationships with clients and capturing new sales opportunities in the field. This position involves extensive travel as the executive is required to meet clients face-to-face, understand their needs, and offer products and services that meet those needs. A Field Sales Executive acts as a key point of contact between the organization and its customers, responsible for not only meeting but exceeding sales targets. They must have excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively close deals and build strong client relationships. Additionally, they must be knowledgeable about their company's products and be able to articulate their benefits to potential clients. Being proactive and self-motivated is crucial in this role, as the executive works independently to create strategies that connect with customers and drive sales growth. This role also requires analyzing market trends and competitor activities to stay ahead of the game.


Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within assigned territory.
  • Conduct face-to-face meetings with clients to discuss their needs and provide solutions.
  • Participate in the formulation of sales strategies to achieve sales targets.
  • Review sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets consistently.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships through exceptional service.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the company's products and services.
  • Negotiate contracts with prospective clients to secure business deals.
  • Provide timely reports and feedback to management regarding market trends.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client requirements are met promptly.
  • Represent the company at trade exhibitions, events, and demonstrations.
  • Monitor competitors’ activities to identify new business offerings or strategies.
  • Train and mentor junior sales team members to enhance their skills and performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Field Sales Executive or in a similar sales role.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes and customer relationship management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while on the field.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and MS Office for reporting purposes.
  • Willingness to travel extensively for client meetings and industry events.
