Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Desktop Support Engineer to join our IT department and provide fast and effective technical support to our team. As a Desktop Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, or software. You will be the go-to person for any queries related to IT infrastructure, and you will play a pivotal role in troubleshooting and resolving desktop-related issues to maintain a smooth operation flow within the organization. In addition, you will be working in a dynamic environment, which will require strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a customer-centric approach, and the ability to adapt quickly to change.


Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and assistance to end-users facing IT-related issues.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems, software, and hardware components.
  • Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks within the organization.
  • Respond promptly to service issues and requests from users and management.
  • Perform regular updates and maintenance of the IT system infrastructure.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues using standard procedures.
  • Log and document all incidents and requests in the help desk system accurately.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure effective resolution of complex technical issues.
  • Assist in setting up user accounts and troubleshoot login and connectivity problems.
  • Conduct routine audits of systems and software to ensure compliance with policies.
  • Provide training and guidelines to users on the use of software and hardware.
  • Assist in the procurement and inventory management of IT equipment and supplies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 2 or more years of experience in a desktop support role or similar position.
  • Strong understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products.
  • Proven experience in diagnosing and resolving technical hardware and software issues.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills with a focus on providing excellent customer service.
  • Experience with network management and regulatory compliance is highly desirable.
