We are seeking a highly organized and personable Dental Receptionist/Dental Nurse to join our dynamic team at a bustling dental practice. In this dual role, you will wear two important hats: that of a warm and welcoming receptionist and a skilled dental nurse supporting clinical operations. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play an integral role in ensuring they feel comfortable and informed about their dental visits. Your responsive handling of scheduling, patient inquiries, and administrative tasks is critical to the smooth running of our dental office. Equally important, your assistance in the dental operatory, providing chairside support to the dentists, and ensuring clinical hygiene standards are met, will contribute significantly to our patients' care and treatment outcomes. Responsibilities

  • Greet and check-in patients with friendliness and professionalism upon their arrival.
  • Manage patient appointments, ensuring optimal scheduling and limited wait times.
  • Handle all incoming phone calls, directs them appropriately, and respond to inquiries.
  • Maintain and update patient records ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Assist dentists during procedures, providing necessary tools and instruments promptly.
  • Ensure the dental operatory is kept clean and sterile, following hygiene protocols.
  • Prepare treatment rooms for procedures by setting up instruments and materials.
  • Perform routine administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and ordering supplies.
  • Liaise with suppliers and vendors regarding dental supplies and services.
  • Instruct patients on post-procedure care and answer their questions or concerns.
  • Help manage patient billing and insurance claim processes efficiently.
  • Coordinate with other team members to improve office procedures and patient care.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a dental receptionist and/or dental nurse is preferred.
  • Proficient understanding of dental procedures and terminology is essential.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail are necessary.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using dental practice management software and computer applications.
  • Certified Dental Assistant Certificate or equivalent qualification is highly desirable.
  • Positive attitude and a team-player mindset to collaborate with colleagues.
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly.
