Job Description

As a Computer Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting the technological needs of the company by ensuring that all computer systems and related equipment are operating smoothly and efficiently. Your expertise and swift problem-solving abilities will be instrumental in maintaining uninterrupted computing services. You will be responsible for diagnosing hardware and software issues, performing upgrades, and providing technical support to users. This role involves working closely with various departments to ensure that their specific IT needs are met, and helping to ensure that all company IT systems are secure and up-to-date. Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and software systems throughout the company.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in person, over the phone, or via email.
  • Perform regular upgrades to ensure systems remain updated with the latest technologies.
  • Provide training and support to users to help them utilize the company's technology effectively.
  • Manage and maintain inventory of all computer equipment and peripherals.
  • Set up and configure new computers and other IT equipment for new employees.
  • Ensure the security and privacy of networks and computer systems within the organization.
  • Develop and document procedures for hardware and software installation and maintenance.
  • Monitor and maintain network stability and connectivity to prevent disruptions.
  • Collaborate with other IT professionals and stakeholders to resolve complex technical challenges.
  • Perform regular checks on all company equipment to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
  • Keep abreast of new technologies and evaluate their potential applications in the organization.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Computer Technician or similar role for at least 2 years.
  • Strong understanding of computer systems, networks, and various software applications.
  • Familiarity with Windows, Linux, and/or MacOS environments is essential.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail in troubleshooting.
  • Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles.
  • Outstanding communication skills and a customer-oriented, friendly demeanor.
  • Capability to work independently and as part of a collaborative IT team environment.
  • A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar are a plus.
