Job Description

The Civil Project Engineer 13M26 plays a pivotal role in the execution of civil engineering projects by ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards. This professional is responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of building structures and infrastructure. As a Civil Project Engineer, you will work alongside a team of engineers and other construction professionals to deliver projects such as roads, airports, bridges, dams, or water systems. You will have the opportunity to apply advanced engineering principles, utilize state-of-the-art technology, and adhere to stringent regulations to deliver exceptional project outcomes. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in dynamic construction environments.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocations, and budgets.
  • Conduct site inspections and assess project feasibility based on site and engineering data.
  • Collaborate with architects and engineering teams to develop structural designs and plans.
  • Supervise and oversee the work of contractors and subcontractors onsite.
  • Ensure that all civil engineering projects comply with legal and industry standards and regulations.
  • Resolve design and development problems by providing technical expertise and guidance.
  • Monitor safety protocols and ensure that health and safety standards are upheld on site.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on project progress to stakeholders and management.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them effectively.
  • Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to produce engineering drawings and plans.
  • Manage procurement and liaise with suppliers to secure necessary materials and equipment.
  • Ensure environmental sustainability principles are integrated into civil engineering projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in civil engineering project management.
  • Proficiency with design and visualization software, such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary project team environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations and standards.
