Job Description

As a Renovation Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating various renovation projects, ensuring that they are completed efficiently, on time, and within budget. You will be responsible for managing teams of workers, communicating with clients, and ensuring that all work adheres to architectural plans, safety standards, and regulations. Your expertise in construction and renovation, coupled with your leadership skills, will be crucial in delivering quality results and maintaining client satisfaction. This role demands a high level of organization, problem-solving ability, and the capacity to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a predictable and dynamic environment.


Responsibilities

  • Plan and supervise all phases of renovation projects from inception to completion.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and designers to ensure project specifications are met.
  • Oversee the work of contractors and direct construction staff on site.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Develop and manage project timelines, ensuring milestones are met promptly.
  • Monitor project costs, manage budgets, and report any financial deviations.
  • Maintain open communication with clients to keep them informed of project progress.
  • Identify and solve problems that arise during the renovation process.
  • Ensure workplace safety practices and initiate safety training for work crews.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and manage material supplies efficiently.
  • Inspect completed work and prepare punch lists for final touch-ups.
  • Deliver projects on time, maintaining quality standards and client satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in supervision of construction or renovation projects.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage multiple teams effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients, contractors, and team members.
  • Proficiency in project management software and construction management tools.
  • Thorough understanding of construction procedures, material procurement, and project scheduling.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure quality and accuracy in project execution.
