Job Description

The Warehouse Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse. Tasked with handling various logistical and inventory-related functions, they ensure the smooth flow of goods from suppliers to consumers. This role requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. The Warehouse Assistant will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of inventory, assisting in packing and shipping, and supporting overall warehouse operations. Candidates for this role should have a strong work ethic, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and a commitment to safety and accuracy. Responsibilities

  • Accurately receive, unpack, and store incoming inventory and supplies.
  • Maintain organized and clear inventory records for warehouse stock.
  • Pick and pack orders efficiently to meet shipping schedules.
  • Assist with loading and unloading delivery trucks as needed.
  • Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely distribution of products.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and report discrepancies.
  • Ensure all warehouse areas are well-organized and maintained for safety.
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize overall workflow processes.
  • Implement and adhere to all safety protocols in the warehouse environment.
  • Assist in the preparation and management of stock inventory reports.
  • Provide support in warehouse improvement projects and initiatives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification is required.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role is advantageous.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and task execution.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with inventory management systems.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials and products regularly.
