We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT and Systems Administrator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of IT infrastructure and systems management, with a proven track record in administering and supporting complex IT environments. As a Senior IT and Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the company's information technology infrastructure. You will collaborate with different departments to identify, analyze, and resolve challenging IT issues, and you will also lead initiatives to improve and enhance our IT capabilities. This role requires excellent technical skills, an ability to work under pressure, and exceptional problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
• Install, configure, and support network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, and firewalls.
• Implement and oversee backup, recovery procedures, and disaster recovery planning.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
• Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and internal IT teams.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to system configurations and procedures.
• Lead projects to upgrade or replace information technology systems as needed.
• Ensure compliance with IT policies and procedures, including security protocols.
• Manage vendor relationships and service level agreements to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Conduct training sessions to enhance employee understanding of IT systems and security.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and propose improvements to current systems.
• Coordinate with different departments to meet organizational IT needs and requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of five years of experience in IT administration and systems support.
• Strong knowledge of network and system security, including current threats and solutions.
• Proficiency in administering Windows and Linux-based environments and related technologies.
• Experience with virtualization technologies and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
• Excellent troubleshooting abilities and a keen eye for detail in system analysis.
• Exceptional communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
