The purpose of this document is to describe the position of Senior Asset Performance Analyst within the Keolis MHI Engineering & Maintenance (E&M) organization. The missions and activities described below are not exhaustive and may evolve to better suit the needs of Keolis MHI.

The Senior Asset Performance Analyst will be required to work closely with the Asset Performance Engineer, and wider Asset Performance Team, to ensure high-quality analytical output, process alignment, and delivery of actionable insights to improve Dubai Metro’s asset reliability and performance. They must be able to impart their knowledge and expertise across the team to enhance skills and capabilities, and embed a structured, sustainable and cross-functional approach to data analysis that supports data-driven decision-making.

Main Responsibilities

Strategic

  • Lead detailed analysis of asset performance, reliability, and maintainability to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Support the Asset Performance Engineer in developing predictive and statistical models to optimise asset lifecycle strategies.
  • Contribute to the definition and monitoring of performance KPIs in alignment with RTA contractual obligations and internal benchmarks.
  • Drive automation and innovation in data reporting, ensuring sustainability of data pipelines and dashboards.
  • Translate analytical findings into actionable insights and present recommendations to management and stakeholders.

Financial

  • Provide accurate and timely performance data to support contractual KPIs, cost optimisation, and budget forecasting.
  • Evaluate financial implications of asset performance trends and recommend efficiency or cost-saving measures.
  • Contribute to lifecycle cost analysis and investment planning for asset renewals or upgrades.

Stakeholder / Customer

  • Work closely with Operations, Maintenance, MMS, and other E&M stakeholders to align data interpretation with operational priorities.
  • Serve as a focal point between Analysts and Engineers for cross-functional data initiatives, ensuring standardisation of reporting practices.
  • Communicate analytical findings and insights effectively to non-technical stakeholders through clear visualisations and executive-level presentations.
  • Support the Asset Performance Engineer in client (RTA) reporting and engagement sessions.
  • Obtain and gather user feedback and inputs on data-related topics to incorporate where necessary as continuous improvement.

Operational

  • Oversee the collection, cleansing, and validation of large data sets from MMS (Maximo) and related systems.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and analytical tools that provide real-time visibility of asset health, reliability, and availability.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis on asset performance issues, root cause investigations, and performance improvement projects.
  • Support continuous improvement by monitoring data quality, identifying inconsistencies, and recommending corrective actions.
  • Coordinate data-driven improvement projects across multiple systems and departments to ensure consistency in asset performance reporting.

Capability / People

  • Mentor and guide Asset Performance Analysts to enhance their technical and analytical capabilities.
  • Develop training materials, procedures, and data management documentation to strengthen internal competencies.
  • Promote a data-driven culture, encouraging curiosity, accuracy, and continuous learning across the team.

DIMENSIONS

  • Scope of work covers analysis of data across the entire Dubai Metro system.
  • Direct reports include a team of Asset Performance Analysts, with responsibility for guiding their work and development.
  • Office environment. Site inspections and visits will be required. KEY COMPETENCIES

Technical Competencies

  • Strong data analysis and data modelling techniques with extensive hands-on knowledge and application.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, including ability to develop or write advanced formulas, macros and VBA.
  • Advanced SQL for complex data extraction and transformation
  • Ability to develop sustainable data models, dashboards, and visualisations.
  • Proficient in developing and maintaining data standards, classifications, hierarchies, and quality control measures.
  • Ability to develop and maintain detailed documentation, including processes, policies, procedures and plans to demonstrate compliance and operational maturity.
  • Ability to understand complex systems and willingness to learn new software-based applications and ways of working.
  • Advanced Power BI (DAX, data modelling, dashboard development).
  • Python (beneficial) for advanced analytics or automation.
  • Understanding and awareness of emerging technologies in data and analytics, including AI and ML.
  • Experience working with Enterprise Asset Management Systems (e.g., IBM Maximo).
  • Sound understanding of KPI frameworks, trend analysis, and lifecycle costing.

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline

Experience

  • Proven expertise in data modelling, analysis and reporting
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in performance analysis of a metro / light rail system.
  • Strong data analytic capabilities and understanding of the technical systems

Experience in the rail or transportation industry
