Job Description

1. Greeting and Assisting Clients:

   - Welcome clients and their pets to the clinic in a friendly and professional manner.

   - Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the appointment calendar efficiently.

   - Direct clients to the appropriate areas within the clinic.

2. Client Communication:

   - Provide information about services offered, pricing, and appointment availability.

   - Communicate with clients about their pet's health status, test results, and treatment plans as directed by the veterinarians.

   - Address client inquiries and concerns promptly and courteously.

3. Administrative Tasks:

   - Maintain accurate electronic and paper records of client information, appointments, and medical histories.

   - Process payments, issue invoices, and handle financial transactions accurately.

   - Manage inventory of office and medical supplies, and place orders when necessary.

4. Support for Veterinary Staff:

   - Assist veterinary technicians and veterinarians with tasks such as restraining animals, taking patient histories, and preparing exam rooms.

   - Ensure that medical records are up-to-date and readily available for appointments.

   - Relay messages and information between clients and veterinary staff.

5. Facility Maintenance:

   - Keep the reception area, waiting room, and exam rooms clean and organized.

   - Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and functionality of equipment used in the reception area.

   - Assist with general maintenance tasks around the clinic as needed.



Requirements

Qualifications:

   - Compassion for animals and their owners, with a genuine desire to provide exceptional service and support.

   - High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in veterinary reception or office administration is a plus.

   - Previous experience in customer service or a similar role, preferably in a veterinary clinic or animal-related environment.

   - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, staff, and vendors.

   - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently.

   - Proficiency in computer skills, including experience with electronic medical records systems and basic office software.
