Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Receptionist cum Patient Care Coordinator to join our dynamic team at our healthcare facility. This dual-role position is pivotal in ensuring our patients receive the highest level of care and service starting from their first point of contact with our office. You will play a crucial role in managing the front desk operations, greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and coordinating efficient patient flow. In addition, you will serve as a key liaison between patients and healthcare staff, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition of patient information and ensuring patient satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a friendly and welcoming environment.
  • Manage incoming calls efficiently, directing inquiries to appropriate departments.
  • Coordinate patient appointments, ensuring optimal scheduling and resource management.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the database promptly.
  • Assist patients with completing necessary intake documentation accurately and timely.
  • Facilitate seamless communication between patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Provide information on hospital policies, procedures, and available services to patients.
  • Handle patient complaints with empathy and escalate issues to management if necessary.
  • Ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable at all times.
  • Assist in preparing daily reports and documentation for management review.
  • Coordinate follow-up appointments and manage patient appointment reminders.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to enhance overall patient experience and satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications would be beneficial.
  • Proven experience as a receptionist, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective patient interaction.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems, including patient management software.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
