Job Description

The Quality Control & Assurance Officer is a pivotal role within the manufacturing and production environment, tasked with ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of quality and safety before reaching the customer. This role requires a meticulous, detail-oriented individual who is skilled in evaluating product specifications and implementing quality assurance protocols. A successful Quality Control & Assurance Officer must have a solid understanding of quality control processes, regulatory environments, and be capable of utilizing both traditional inspection methods and advanced testing techniques. This role involves both hands-on inspection and strategic oversight to guarantee compliance with industry standards and continuous improvement of production processes, ultimately enhancing customer satisfaction and minimizing operational costs.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures across all production stages.
  • Inspect and test materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality standards.
  • Prepare detailed reports and keep records of product quality status and issues.
  • Train staff and production team members on quality assurance procedures and standards.
  • Coordinate with production teams to address and resolve quality issues promptly.
  • Conduct routine audits to assess compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure materials meet required specifications.
  • Monitor production processes and work with teams to implement improvements.
  • Analyze quality control test results and offer recommendations for process improvements.
  • Ensure corrective actions are executed to address observed quality deviations in products.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry standards and regulations to maintain compliance.
  • Manage customer complaints related to quality assurance, ensuring timely resolution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a quality control or assurance role.
  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for effective quality management.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and quality control software tools.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with production and management teams.
  • Certification in quality assurance (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO 9001) is preferred.
