Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Public Relations Officer (PRO) to join our team and contribute towards strengthening our brand image and reputation. As a vital member of our communication team, the PRO will be responsible for managing all external communications and establishing strong relationships with media representatives, clients, and the public. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with the ability to think strategically. This role is crucial in driving our public relations efforts to effectively communicate our brand message and enhance our public profile. The successful candidate will have significant experience in PR, a robust network of media contacts, and the ability to manage PR campaigns from the ground up.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement an effective public relations strategy to enhance our brand visibility.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with local, national, and industry media outlets.
  • Coordinate and manage media interest in the organization, ensuring regular contact and proper response to inquiries.
  • Draft, edit, and distribute press releases, media kits, and newsletters to convey our messages effectively.
  • Organize and oversee press conferences, media briefings, and interviews to promote our initiatives.
  • Monitor media coverage and public perception to report on the effectiveness of PR activities.
  • Manage the content and updates for the company website and social media platforms.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure brand consistency across all communications.
  • Identify and manage any potential public relations crises and implement appropriate strategies.
  • Plan and execute public events to promote the organization and increase understanding of our mission.
  • Develop and maintain a network of industry leaders and influencers for strategic brand positioning.
  • Evaluate and report the impact of PR activities on business outcomes and adjust strategies accordingly.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or related field is required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in public relations or media relations.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing successful PR campaigns.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
  • Strong network of media contacts and relationships within the industry.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively project manage.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required.
  • Proficiency in using digital media platforms and content management systems.
  • High level of flexibility and ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
