Job Description

The Project Manager - Civil 11N25 plays a crucial role in the planning, execution, and completion of civil construction projects. This position requires an individual with strong leadership abilities, exceptional organizational skills, and a deep understanding of the civil engineering industry. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of project management, from initial budgeting and scheduling to final inspections and delivery. They will coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex civil projects and a commitment to safety and compliance with industry regulations.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive project plans to meet project objectives.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors for project execution.
  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure timelines.
  • Manage project budgets, ensuring cost-efficiency and adherence to financial plans.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and quality standards on site.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to oversee all phases of construction activities.
  • Facilitate effective communication among stakeholders, including clients and team members.
  • Resolve any project-related issues promptly to minimize impact on project delivery.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a cooperative work environment.
  • Prepare and present project reports and updates to senior management and clients.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and correspondence.
  • Evaluate project outcomes to identify areas for future improvement and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project management within the civil sector.
  • Proven track record of successfully completed projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate project teams.
  • Proficient in project management software such as MS Project or Primavera.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment effectively.
  • Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of safety and quality standards specific to civil construction projects.
