Mechanical Draftsman 02D25

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Draftsman (02D25) to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for precision and a strong foundation in mechanical design principles. As a Mechanical Draftsman, you will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and schematics for mechanical equipment and systems. Your ability to collaborate with engineers and designers to transform conceptual ideas into realistic designs is paramount. Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 2D and 3D drawings using CAD software for mechanical designs.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements fully.
• Revise drawings and layouts to accommodate changes and enhance accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations in all designs.
• Assist in the preparation of technical documents and reports for project updates.
• Coordinate with the production team to verify feasibility of designs for fabrication.
• Maintain an organized library of mechanical drawings and revisions for future use.
• Use feedback from the team to make improvements to current mechanical designs.
• Provide technical support and expertise to the engineering team as needed.
• Conduct research to inform and enhance the drafting methods and techniques.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring quality and efficiency.
• Participate in project meetings and provide insights into drafting processes.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is required.
• Proven experience as a Mechanical Draftsman or similar position, preferably 2+ years.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks is essential.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and engineering terminology.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical drawings.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and clients.
• Ability to manage time efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
