Job Description

The Logistics Coordinator plays a vital role in the seamless coordination and transportation of goods and services within a company's supply chain. This position requires a keen eye for detail and excellent organizational skills to ensure products move efficiently from one location to another. A successful Logistics Coordinator must effectively communicate and collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and customers to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any discrepancies. As the go-to person for logistics matters, you will be expected to strategize and manage logistics operations efficiently to meet company standards and customer expectations.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Communicate with suppliers, retailers, and customers to achieve profitable deals.
  • Plan and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements.
  • Prepare accurate logistics-related documentation such as invoices and packing lists.
  • Maintain databases and update records of purchases, shipments, and invoices.
  • Review and optimize transportation routes to maximize cost-efficiency and speed.
  • Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports, or exports.
  • Develop transportation policies and procedures to enhance efficiencies.
  • Work closely with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems.
  • Keep logs and records of warehouse stock, executed orders, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with legal regulations and company policies in logistics processes.
  • Continuously aim to find and implement ways to improve the logistics process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, business administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a logistics coordinator or a similar role in the industry.
  • Strong understanding of logistics and inventory management software.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage various tasks concurrently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics software tools.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration.
  • Ability to analyze data and create reports to optimize logistics performance.
