As a Light Vehicle Driver, you play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and safe transport of passengers and goods. Operating light vehicles, you will be responsible for driving both manually and automatically operated vehicles in various settings. Your primary objective will be safe driving practices while maintaining excellence in service and care for the vehicles. This position requires someone who is not only skilled in vehicular operation but also dependable, punctual, and capable of managing routes efficiently. In addition to driving responsibilities, candidates must be able to perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, communicate effectively with passengers, and comply with all transportation regulations and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Transport passengers or goods to designated locations promptly and safely.
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the vehicle, both inside and out.
• Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure all systems are functional.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules of delivery, adhering to timelines.
• Report any mechanical issues promptly to the fleet manager or supervisor.
• Ensure all necessary documents related to driving and delivery are up-to-date and accessible.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations to ensure the safety of passengers and the vehicle.
• Keep accurate records of kilometers traveled and any incidents encountered while driving.
• Monitor fuel levels regularly, refueling vehicles when necessary to prevent disruptions.
• Communicate politely and effectively with passengers and team members.
• Assist passengers with loading and unloading of luggage or packages as needed.
• Remain up-to-date with changes in routes, schedules, and traffic conditions.

Requirements

• Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience as a light vehicle driver or similar position.
• Familiarity with various driving routes and local geography.
• Basic mechanical knowledge for routine vehicle maintenance tasks.
• Strong commitment to safety and adherence to driving regulations.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with passengers and colleagues.
