Responsibilities

• Assist in the maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Ensure all laboratory processes adhere to established safety and quality standards.
• Label and store laboratory supplies and specimens properly to prevent contamination.
• Assist in the disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste according to protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the laboratory to ensure a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with laboratory technicians and scientists to support ongoing projects and experiments.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the lab supervisor immediately.
• Participate in ongoing training and development activities to stay updated with best practices.
• Assist in inventory management and ordering of laboratory supplies and materials.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in science is preferred.
• Proven experience as a laboratory assistant or in a similar role is advantageous.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment, procedures, and safety protocols is required.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
• Basic knowledge of computer systems and data entry is required.
