An HVAC Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The role demands a strong understanding of HVAC systems and equipment to ensure the comfort and safety of building environments. These systems are crucial for maintaining appropriate levels of temperature, humidity, and air quality in commercial, residential, and industrial settings. The technician will handle routine inspections as well as complex diagnostics and repairs, often in collaboration with other team members. Responsibilities

• Install new HVAC systems in residential and commercial properties with precision.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of HVAC systems to ensure efficiency.
• Diagnose and repair problems in heating and cooling systems promptly.
• Identify and replace defective or worn out components in HVAC units.
• Read and interpret blueprints, piping, wiring diagrams, and other technical documents.
• Comply with work safety standards during maintenance operations and installations.
• Assist in developing HVAC system modification plans for improved efficiency.
• Ensure HVAC systems adhere to all relevant environmental and safety standards.
• Keep accurate and detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
• Stay updated on the latest HVAC technologies and industry best practices.
• Perform air quality assessments and recommend solutions to improve conditions.
• Educate clients on proper HVAC system maintenance and energy-saving practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional HVAC training preferred.
• Valid HVAC technician certification or equivalent vocational degree in HVAC.
• Proven experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of piping, wiring, and other HVAC electrical components.
• Ability to interpret and work from detailed technical drawings and diagrams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and an eye for detail and quality work.
• Strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively.
• Physical fitness to work under various conditions, including confined spaces.
• Driver’s license and a clean driving record for transportation to job sites.
• Commitment to safety regulations and procedures in all HVAC tasks.
