Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Manager to join our team. The HSE Manager will play a crucial role in providing leadership in developing and implementing the company's health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures. This role requires a proactive leader who can ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, enhance safety performance, and drive a safety culture within the organization. The ideal candidate should have a strategic approach to safety management, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams. With a commitment to continuous improvement, the HSE Manager will contribute to creating a safe and sustainable work environment.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments and execute appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
  • Lead and participate in incident investigations, identifying root causes and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with management to integrate safety into business processes and operations.
  • Coordinate regular emergency response drills and ensure preparedness plans are up-to-date.
  • Deliver HSE training and support to employees to promote a safety culture.
  • Monitor and analyze safety performance data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Prepare and present safety performance reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Manage relationships with regulatory bodies and ensure timely inspections and audits.
  • Lead by example, fostering a proactive approach to health and safety throughout the organization.
  • Mentor and develop junior staff members in HSE best practices and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a health, safety, and environment role.
  • Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing safety programs in an industrial setting.
  • Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent will be highly advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using safety management software and MS Office applications.
