Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of all aspects of health, safety, and environmental regulations and practices within the engineering industry. As an HSE Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing safety programs and policies that ensure a safe working environment for all employees and stakeholders. You will also provide guidance, support, and training to team members, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and company policies. If you have a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to safety, this role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in our organization.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive HSE policies and procedures across the organization.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations and standards.
  • Coordinate and conduct safety training programs and workshops for employees.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and preventive measures.
  • Collaborate with project managers to integrate safety requirements into project plans.
  • Monitor and report on HSE performance metrics and suggest improvements.
  • Liaise with regulatory agencies to ensure proper licensing and accreditation.
  • Develop emergency response plans and conduct regular drills and exercises.
  • Advise management on HSE-related issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, training, and certifications.
  • Support continuous improvement of HSE practices through new technologies and methods.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HSE management within an engineering context.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA and other HSE-related regulations and standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for training and collaboration.
  • Certification in health and safety management, such as NEBOSH or equivalent preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HSE management software tools.
