Job Description

The Guest Service Associate in Food & Beverage (F&B) Service is a vital role in the hospitality industry, focused on delivering excellent customer service and ensuring a memorable dining experience for guests. This position is responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a hospitable atmosphere in restaurants, cafes, or hotels. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail. A bright personality and the ability to work well under pressure are essential, as the role often requires multitasking between serving multiple guests, coordinating with kitchen staff, and handling special requests or complaints. Responsibilities

  • Greet guests promptly with a warm and welcoming demeanor as they arrive.
  • Present menus and provide detailed information about menu items and specials.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders, using point-of-sale systems efficiently.
  • Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring adherence to service timeline.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas at all times.
  • Respond swiftly and courteously to any requests or complaints from guests.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and precise food service delivery.
  • Process guest checks efficiently, accurately handling cash and credit transactions.
  • Participate in pre-service meetings with team to discuss any special requirements.
  • Assist in restocking and replenishing service stations and supplies as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless guest experiences every time.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and secure environment for all guests and staff.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience in food and beverage service or customer-facing roles.
  • Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English and additional languages.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle orders with accuracy.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in fast-paced environments.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on providing exceptional service.
