Job Description

The Finance and Administration Officer is a critical role responsible for managing financial operations and administrative tasks within the organization. This position supports the organization’s financial health by overseeing budgeting, accounting, financial analysis, and reporting. Additionally, this officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with internal policies and relevant regulations. The role also encompasses administrative functions such as procurement, asset management, and supporting the overall operational efficiency of the organization. The ideal candidate will merge strategic financial management with solid administrative stewardship, bridging the gap between operations and executive objectives while enhancing the organization’s resource management.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and monitor annual budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for management.
  • Oversee and enhance the efficiency of financial policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and provide timely reporting to stakeholders.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely transactions.
  • Coordinate with departments to align financial strategies and operational budgeting.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and standards.
  • Facilitate internal audits and coordinate external audits as required by regulators.
  • Manage company assets, including property, equipment, and inventory control systems.
  • Oversee procurement processes and vendor negotiations to optimize cost efficiency.
  • Support senior management with financial analysis and decision-making strategies.
  • Develop and implement administration policies for improved company operations.
  • Coordinate office administrative and bookkeeping tasks to streamline business functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a similar finance or administration role.
  • Proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage office operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to adhere to financial regulations and legislation.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders.
