Electrical BIM Modeler (225-1006)

As an Electrical BIM Modeler, you will play a pivotal role in the digital design and collaboration processes of our construction projects. You will be responsible for creating, managing, and maintaining accurate electrical models using Building Information Modeling (BIM) software. Your expertise in the latest BIM technologies and electrical engineering principles will guide the project's electrical system designs. Working closely with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders, you will ensure that the electrical systems are integrated seamlessly with other building components and meet all project specifications and codes. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, contributing to the successful completion of building projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3D electrical models using cutting-edge BIM software tools and technologies.
• Coordinate and collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams for project success.
• Ensure all electrical designs comply with industry standards, codes, and client requirements.
• Perform clash detection and resolve conflicts between electrical and other systems designs.
• Maintain updated and accurate documentation for all electrical BIM models and modifications.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings and specifications for accurate electrical modeling.
• Assist in the implementation of BIM strategies and best practices within the design team.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior BIM modelers and other team members.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the electrical BIM models.
• Participate in project meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and technical aspects of designs.
• Implement design changes throughout the project's lifecycle based on stakeholders' feedback.
• Stay updated with the latest BIM trends, tools, and software applications specific to electrical systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or relevant field with equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in BIM software like Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD is essential.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and building codes in current use.
• Experience in creating and managing detailed electrical models for construction projects.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems related to electrical BIM projects.
