Job Summary

We are seeking a senior Compliance and Conduct Risk professional to join our Markets CFCR team in the UAE, supporting one of the most dynamic and internationally connected trading floors in the region.

This role sits at the centre of the Bank’s Markets business across the Middle East footprint, partnering closely with senior business leaders, compliance stakeholders and regulators on complex regulatory, conduct and strategic risk matters.

The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to the Markets business, providing independent oversight, challenge and guidance across a broad range of activities including sales and trading, structured solutions, product governance, market conduct, regulatory change, new business initiatives and client-related activities. The role requires strong technical expertise, commercial judgement and the ability to operate credibly with senior stakeholders across jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising the Markets business on regulatory, compliance and conduct risk matters across the UAE and Middle East
  • Providing independent second line oversight and challenge across Markets activities, products and initiatives
  • Supporting the implementation and maintenance of robust CFCR frameworks, policies and governance standards
  • Partnering with senior business management to proactively identify, assess and mitigate emerging regulatory and conduct risks
  • Advising on new products, business initiatives, transactional matters and regulatory reforms impacting the Markets platform
  • Supporting engagement with regional regulators and internal governance forums
  • Driving high standards of business conduct, surveillance, market integrity and client outcomes across the Markets franchise
  • Contributing to regional risk assessments, thematic reviews, monitoring and remediation initiatives

Skills And Experience

This is a highly visible regional role suited to an experienced compliance professional with deep Financial Markets expertise and strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks applicable to global banking operations within the UAE and broader Middle East.

The Ideal Candidate Will Demonstrate

  • Extensive experience within Compliance, Conduct Risk or Financial Crime Compliance in a global banking environment
  • Strong understanding of Financial Markets products and activities
  • Experience advising trading, sales and structuring businesses in regulated environments
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, including the confidence to challenge senior stakeholders constructively
  • Strong knowledge of UAE regulatory frameworks including DIFC/DFSA and ADGM environments
  • The ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed and internationally connected organisation
