Ramboll is looking for a Digital Lead – MEP based in Dubai, to lead our MEP Digital and BIM capability

across the Middle East and India. This role will ensure consistent project delivery through strong team

leadership, effective coordination, and practical digital improvements that enhance how we model,

review, and deliver MEP design information.

Job Description

Leadership and team management:

 Lead the MEP BIM team across Middle East and India.

 Build a strong team culture through mentoring, coaching, and hands-on technical

leadership.

 Support resourcing and workload planning to ensure the right capability is available at

the right time across projects.

 Coordinate internal MEP stakeholders and maintain visibility of daily priorities, progress,

and delivery risks.

 Project delivery, coordination, and quality:

 Support MEP engineers and BIM teams to deliver coordinated, high-quality models and

deliverables.

 Own the MEP digital delivery approach on projects, including planning, coordination

strategy, and model exchange routines.

 Ensure MEP teams work in line with the Project BEP / Digital Delivery Plan, including

modelling, model review, coordination, and information exchange.

 Lead MEP coordination using Navisworks and/or Revizto, ensuring issues/clashes are

tracked, closed, and reported clearly.

 Drive quality checks on MEP models including model health, consistency of parameters,

and readiness for issue-based coordination and downstream uses.

 Support the Digital Delivery Manager during complex project situations, including

escalation handling and recovery planning where needed.

 Information management:

 Ensure MEP deliverables meet the agreed LOIN (Level of Information Need)

requirements, including geometry and information attributes at each stage.

 Define and control MEP data requirements, including parameter strategy,

classification/coding rules, and information completeness checks.

 Lead or support COBie planning and delivery.

 Digital setup, standards, and governance:

 Define and implement MEP project digital setup and controls, such as: project templates,

shared parameters, modelling standards, and BEP requirements, geo-location and

coordination setup, project-specific guides and workflows.

 Maintain alignment with Ramboll’s MEP standards, client requirements, and contractual

digital obligations (where applicable).

 Provide access and guidance to project teams on applicable standards, digital

documents, and the Common Data Environment (CDE).

 Coordinate digital design files, templates, and object libraries to ensure consistency and

quality.

 Innovation and automation:

 Identify repetitive tasks and lead improvements through automation and smarter

workflows.

 Develop or guide development of scripts and tools to improve speed and quality for BIM

teams and engineers.

 Promote practical adoption of new tools and methods, with measurable improvements to

delivery, coordination, and information quality.

 Keep the team current with market developments and new releases in MEP and BIM

tools, translating this into real project value.

 Tools, platforms, and training:

 Act as a technical point of contact for key MEP delivery tools, e.g. Revit (MEP)

 ACC (Autodesk Construction Cloud) with strong knowledge of Project Admin level

workflows

 Ensure training and onboarding is provided across MEP teams for common project

software, coordination methods, and data deliverables.

 Support coordination of software use across project stakeholders and help resolve dayto-

day tool and workflow challenges.

Qualifications

Qualifications and experience: -

 15+ years of relevant experience in MEP BIM and Digital Delivery, including leadership

roles on complex projects.

 Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

 Strong understanding of digital delivery contracts and information requirements on

projects of similar complexity.

 Proven experience leading MEP teams and managing coordination delivery under project

timelines.

 Technical skills (must have): -

 Expert knowledge of MEPF services and how to deliver them through coordinated digital

models.

 Strong experience in: Revit MEP, Navisworks Manage, Revizto, BEP-led delivery,

modelling standards, coordination workflows, and information exchange, LOIN delivery

controls and information completeness checking, COBie understanding and delivery

support (model-based or extracted schedules, depending on project requirement)

 Strong capability in team handling, planning, and resource management.

 Dynamo and pyRevit (and/or scripting capability to support automation and productivity

improvements).

 Experience setting up asset information workflows for handover and FM use, including

structured data validation if needed.
