DevOps Engineer

2. About the Opportunity:

The DevOps Engineer role is designed to enhance productivity and operational reliability across platforms by implementing automation, monitoring, and continuous integration and deployment practices. This position supports engineering teams by enabling self-service infrastructure provisioning and streamlining software delivery processes. The role is key in improving system scalability, security, and quality, ultimately accelerating development cycles and ensuring smoother deployments.

3. Responsibilities:

• Provide self-service tools for application provisioning, building, testing, and deployment

• Enhance system reliability, security, and scalability through automation and DevOps best practices

• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD

• Manage cloud infrastructure, networking, system administration, and security, primarily within AWS

• Implement infrastructure as code and automate environment setups

• Promote operational excellence via monitoring, logging, and process refinement

4. Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in systems, electrical, software engineering, or related technical field; graduate degree is a plus

• Minimum 5 years of experience in areas including software programming, shell scripting, network architecture, infrastructure architecture, system administration, or information security

• Practical skills in Linux and Windows systems administration in cloud or virtualized environments

• Experience building and automating complex infrastructure in production environments

• Proficiency with automated build scripts and release management

• Knowledge of code deployment practices, including tagging

• Strong familiarity with AWS cloud platform

• Expertise in automation and infrastructure as code

• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams to improve workflows

• Commitment to reducing time to market and improving quality

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Ansible for configuration management

• Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure as code

• Familiarity with automated infrastructure and deployment workflows

• Understanding of code deployment strategies and release processes

• Knowledge of networking fundamentals such as DNS, VPNs, load balancing, and firewalls

• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitLab

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
