Job Description

We’re looking for a hands‑on Application Engineer / Project Engineer to support and deliver mission‑critical control room solutions across the Middle East & Africa. You will be the technical backbone throughout the customer lifecycle—partnering with Sales in pre‑sales and ensuring flawless execution in post‑sales—covering KVM and/or Professional AV systems, video walls, signal distribution, and operator workspace technologies.

Experience required: 5–10 years engineering in KVM/Pro AV/control room integration

Travel: Up to 50% within MEA for site surveys, demos, installations, and commissioning

Key Responsibilities

Pre‑Sales (Customer‑Facing & Solution Design)

  • Conduct discovery workshops, site surveys, and requirements capture for control rooms (utilities, transport, security, broadcast, oil & gas, finance, etc.).
  • Translate requirements into solution architectures, block diagrams, BoMs, and compliance matrices (latency, bandwidth, redundancy, cybersecurity, ergonomics).
  • Prepare and deliver demos/PoCs, technical presentations, and RFP/RFI responses with clear value propositions.
  • Support costings, solution sizing, and bid/no‑bid inputs; align with Sales and PM on scope, assumptions, and risk.
  • Drive vendor/subcontractor technical alignment; evaluate product fit and interoperability.

Post‑Sales (Delivery, Commissioning & Support)

  • Execute detailed design, rack layouts, cabling schedules, IP addressing, and device configuration (KVM, encoders/decoders, controllers, video processors).
  • Lead FAT/SAT, commissioning, cut‑over, and customer acceptance; produce as‑built documentation and O\&M manuals.
  • Deliver user and admin training; enablement for operations teams and integrator partners.
  • Troubleshoot complex signal, network, and control issues; own escalations and drive root‑cause corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with site rules, QA/QC plans, and change control; contribute to continuous improvement and product feedback.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • 5–10 years engineering experience in KVM and/or Professional AV integration for control rooms.
  • Proven delivery across MEA markets with multi‑site, multi‑vendor environments.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • KVM: matrix/IP‑KVM, redundancy/N+1, access/control policies, USB routing.
    • Pro AV: signal distribution (HDMI/DP/SDI), video wall processors, controllers, encoders/decoders (e.g., H.264/H.265, JPEG2000, SDVoE).
    • Networking: TCP/IP, VLAN/QoS, IGMP multicast, SNMP, PoE, basic cybersecurity hardening.
  • Tooling: MS Visio/AutoCAD (layouts), MS Project (timelines), Excel/Power BI (reporting), ticketing/collab tools (Jira/Confluence or similar).
  • Languages: Fluent English; Arabic and/or French an advantage for MEA engagements.
  • Education: Bachelor’s in Electrical/Electronics/IT/Telecom/AV Engineering (or related).
  • Certifications (nice to have): AVIXA CTS/CTS‑I/CTS‑D, vendor KVM certifications, ITIL Foundation; safety certifications for site work.
Core Competencies

  • Customer empathy and clear technical communication (whiteboarding, demos, training).
  • Robust troubleshooting and systematic problem‑solving under live‑site constraints.
  • Meticulous documentation and configuration management.
  • Stakeholder coordination with Sales, PM, Engineering, Service, and external integrators.
  • Time management, prioritization, and safe working practices on customer sites.

Additional Information

  • Travel: Up to 50% across MEA; valid passport and ability to obtain regional visas.
  • Work Authorization: Eligibility to work in the UAE;
  • Diversity: We are an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants (M/F) will receive consideration without regard to any protected characteristic.
