Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Rotating Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining rotating mechanical systems and equipment. Key responsibilities include conducting detailed engineering analysis, developing innovative solutions to complex mechanical issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project success. The Senior Rotating Mechanical Engineer will also be involved in troubleshooting equipment failures, recommending improvements, and providing technical support to junior engineers. Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, with at least 5 years of experience in rotating equipment design and maintenance. Professional certifications and strong problem-solving skills are highly desired.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the design, specification, installation, and commissioning of rotating mechanical equipment.
- Develop maintenance strategies for rotating equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Conduct regular inspections and performance evaluations of rotating equipment to identify and address any issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex rotating mechanical problems.
- Provide technical guidance and leadership to junior engineers and technicians in the maintenance and operation of rotating equipment.
- Manage and optimize the preventive maintenance program for rotating mechanical systems.
- Evaluate and select appropriate materials and components for rotating equipment to enhance efficiency and lifespan.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols related to rotating mechanical systems.
- Monitor equipment performance metrics and implement improvements to enhance reliability and reduce downtime.
- Keep abreast of new technologies and advancements in the field of rotating mechanical engineering to implement best practices in the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in rotating equipment design and maintenance.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and ANSYS.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
