Job Description

The Manager Stores & Logistics - Aircraft Maintenance is responsible for overseeing the stores and logistics operations within the aircraft maintenance department. They manage inventory, ensure timely and accurate parts supply, and collaborate with various stakeholders to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills, as well as a solid understanding of aircraft maintenance processes.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee the inventory management and control processes for aircraft spare parts and materials.
  • Manage purchasing activities, including vendor selection, negotiation, and contract management.
  • Collaborate with maintenance planning and engineering teams to forecast spare parts and materials requirements.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and ensure timely delivery of parts and materials.
  • Monitor and analyze inventory levels, implementing strategies to optimize stock and reduce costs.
  • Lead and develop a team of stores and logistics staff, ensuring efficient and accurate operations.
  • Implement and maintain effective documentation and record-keeping systems related to stores and logistics.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement initiatives to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in aviation management, logistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in stores and logistics management within the aircraft maintenance industry.
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft spare parts and materials, including handling, storage, and inventory control.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
