Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Area Sales Manager to oversee retail operations within a designated geographical area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading a team of sales representatives, setting sales targets, developing strategic plans, and driving business growth. Key duties include implementing sales strategies, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The Area Sales Manager must possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets. This role requires regular travel within the assigned area to visit retail locations, monitor performance, and provide support to the sales team. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve regional sales targets for retail products.
  • Lead and manage a team of retail sales representatives, providing guidance, coaching, and performance management.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the retail sector to expand market presence and increase revenue.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail customers to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to recommend pricing and promotional strategies.
  • Analyze sales data and KPIs to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to tailor offerings to meet retail market demands.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities for senior management review.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as industry regulations.
  • Continuously train and develop the sales team to enhance their skills and knowledge in retail sales strategies.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in retail sales management.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proven track record of meeting sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team of sales representatives effectively.
