About the Job:

JOB PURPOSE:

The Analytics and Insights Manager (C Store) will work with the C Store team to drive data-driven decision making to support C Store business growth. The role will be essential in partnering with the C Store team to understand their business challenges and provide them with data / insights to drive the optimal decisions.



Job Specific Accountabilities

Analytics and Insights:

  • Collaborate with team members across Retail to understand their data needs, define key metrics, and deliver actionable insights that drive day to day and strategic decisions and drive business growth
  • Analyze customer behavior, sales data using various data sources and tools
  • Generate insights and recommendations to answer critical business questions
  • Analyse product, category, location level sales data to generate actionable insights
  • Design and implement A/B testing, surveys, and experiments to measure the impact of business decisions
  • Lead the definition and scoping of dashboard requirements in alignment with business needs, including identifying key data elements, formats, and frameworks. Coordinate with digital for dashboard development and oversee testing and acceptance prior to deployment.
  • Serve as the primary interface with business stakeholders to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
  • Generate reports to communicate key metrics and findings to stakeholders using data analytics / visualisation tools / dashboards
  • Ad hoc data reports, data summarization, hypothesis testing to support business needs
  • Support the development and execution of data-driven strategies and tactics
  • Work with the Digital team to maintain data hygiene and address day to day operational challenges / bugs in retail data
  • Maintain all data refresh activities as per agreed frequency and identify trends / outcomes from the same.
  • Proactively monitor unusual trends in data and report findings to the business teams
  • Support the development and adoption of predictive analytics, AI/ML models to optimize demand forecasting, inventory management and key metrics.
  • Communicate and present complex data and insights in a clear and compelling way to stakeholders, using data storytelling and visualization tools.

Process and Policy Development:

  • Support the development of RACI models to clearly define roles and responsibilities with Retail, Digital (IT) and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure integration of data analytics functions with overall business objectives.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including retail business leads, IT, finance, and operations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders for C Store business analytics

Minimum Qualification and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, Business Administration, Statistics, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
  • 8 years of experience on data and analytics functions preferably in Retail, experience of convenience retail and/or car-services business will be a plus
  • Skillset – Preferably Engineer with specialisation in Analytics, Strong commercial acumen and deep business understanding
  • Proficient and Handson experience on SQL, Python, R, BI tools, Dataiku platform
  • Experience in ML models operationalization and business value realization
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
