Job Description

The Maintenance Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing the maintenance team and ensuring that all machinery, systems, and facilities are operating optimally. This position is essential for sustaining the operational efficiency of a business, as it involves planning and delegating maintenance tasks, conducting routine inspections, and implementing preventative maintenance programs. A Maintenance Supervisor must possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and upper management. Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance issues and address them promptly.
  • Coordinate and schedule repairs to minimize downtime and production disruptions.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, costs, and asset histories.
  • Assist in managing the maintenance budget and controlling operational costs.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to enhance the team's skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with other departments for efficient workflow and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor and manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment effectively.
  • Develop and enforce policies and procedures for ensuring workplace safety.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements for maintenance processes and systems.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or similar managerial role.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems maintenance.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with team members and management.
  • Ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Proficiency with maintenance management software and computer applications.
  • Commitment to safety regulations and procedures in a maintenance environment.
