The Role (Your Day-to-day) 

As the Senior Flutter Developer, you will help build and improve our mobile product across app, backend-connected workflows, and production integrations. You will work closely with non-technical founders and a designer, with strategic technical oversight from the CTO, to turn ideas into thoughtful, high-quality product outcomes. 

This role is for a strong builder who is genuinely self-sufficient — someone who thrives in autonomy, moves work forward without waiting to be told every next step, and can translate broad direction into practical, well-executed solutions. 

Key Responsibilities (What you’ll do) 

This role will work closely with a non-technical founder, with overarching technical guidance from a CTO, and in partnership with a designer. As the main developer, you are expected to:  

• Build, enhance, and maintain app and web experiences using Flutter, turning product ideas, rough briefs, and design concepts into shipped features  
• Partner closely with the founder, CTO, and designer to translate business goals into practical product decisions and intuitive user experiences  
• Develop responsive, reliable, and scalable interfaces, including API, backend, and third-party integrations needed to support the product end to end  
• Move quickly and make sound technical decisions in a lean environment, balancing speed, quality, maintainability, and user experience  
• Own iteration and improvement across features, releases, debugging, and post-launch enhancements  
• Contribute to how the team works by helping shape standards, workflows, documentation, and overall product delivery habits  
• Use AI tools thoughtfully to improve speed, quality, and execution without losing judgment 

Requirements (What you need to be successful)  

• 4–5+ years of software development experience, with strong hands-on expertise in Flutter/Dart and a proven track record of building and shipping real mobile products for iOS and Android  
• Strong working experience with Firebase as a core part of production applications, including Authentication, Firestore, and Cloud Messaging / push notifications  
• Solid experience building and integrating with backend services using NestJS (Node.js/TypeScript) and REST APIs  
• Strong understanding of data and backend-connected applications, including experience with MySQL 8 and ORM-based workflows such as TypeORM  
• Experience working with Google Cloud infrastructure, including Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, Cloud Scheduler, and Cloud Tasks  
• Experience integrating third-party services and tools such as Google Maps, Mailjet, Bugsnag, and LLM/AI platforms such as OpenRouter/OpenAI-based workflows  
• Strong understanding of push notifications, including implementation, delivery flows, and production troubleshooting  
• Proven experience handling manual mobile builds and submissions for both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store  
• Strong understanding of testing practices, including unit testing, widget testing, and integration testing  
• Strong product and engineering instincts, with the ability to make sound technical decisions and turn broad direction into practical, well-executed output  
• Comfortable working with non-technical founders and operating with a high degree of autonomy, with strategic oversight from a CTO rather than day-to-day hands-on guidance  
• Clear communication, strong ownership, and the ability to thrive in a lean, fast-moving environment where self-sufficiency matters

• Experience improving engineering workflows, release processes, and technical standards in lean teams  
• Strong product sense and the ability to suggest better ways to build, not just execute what is asked

• Familiarity with analytics, monitoring, and performance optimization in live production environments  
• Experience supporting scaling products with growing user, feature, or operational complexity
