Job Description

The Data Office Head leads the establishment of a robust data foundation for Globe, serving as the "data owner" and driving strategic data initiatives. Empower stakeholders with actionable insights, establish trusted governance and future-proofed data architecture, and develop a data-driven culture. Manage teams, strengthen partnerships, and leverage data as a competitive advantage.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Establish a data foundation for Globe to be the single source of truth across business unit while providing access to data and insights that is timely, accurate, reliable, scalable.
  • Stand as “data owner” for the organization and establish EDO as a trusted strategic business partner
  • Empower users in all levels across the org with insights to make data-driven decisions
  • Understand the data needs of the enterprise in the short-mid-long term and use this to:
  • Define the role of data, value it creates and the resulting operational model
  • Build data strategy & roadmap of (tech and resource) capabilities
  • Build a future proofed architecture (cloud & micro services native, AI driven) and governance that ensures data trustworthiness (timely, accurate, complete, reliable, scalable),
  • obsesses about data quality, enables self serve and optimizes data value
  • Deliver data excellence enabled by the right talents, capabilities, structure and mindset
  • Infuse new tech that will ensure security, simplicity of data access
  • Drive the AI/Gen AI strategy for Globe
  • Push for data best practice
  • Deepen customer knowledge and nurture customer relationships through personalized interactions that address their new needs and aspirations of the Business
  • Build EDO as Data leaders and Globe as data thought leader in the group, industry and country, building the right and strategic relationships w/ institutions, vendors and partners
  • Lead, motivate, and manage large technical and analytical teams who will leverage on data as a strategic asset and establish data as a competitive advantage and its role in business

Top Deliverables

  • Empower users in all levels across the org with actionable insights, to make data-driven decisions. This entails data timeliness, consistency, quality and trustworthiness
  • Establish trusted data governance and future proofed data architecture. Structure and secure the operational environment to enable self-serve & optimize data value.
  • Drive 2-3 year strategic roadmap. prioritizing bringing down cost to produce and cost to maintain via efficiencies/optimizations/new tech (AI strategy)
  • Establish EDO as trusted and strategic business partner and Build on data driven culture enabled by the right talents, capabilities, structure and mindset

  • KPIs supporting Business Objectives, transformation targets, etc.
  • KPIs supporting Operational efficiency (impacting cost to product and cost to
  • maintain)

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years senior-level data management experience, with
  • specialization in Data and Analytics
  • Strong communication skills; ability to handle and influence C-suite and senior leaders
  • High learning agility and strong ability to navigate organization from experience in working in MNCs with complex data
