What You’ll Do

The primary responsibility of this position is the purchasing of assigned Indirect commodities and services in ELX PHP to ensure an uninterrupted and timely supply at optimum cost and quality. This position supports the SCM to define ELX Philippine Plant requirements and participates in the selection and relationship building with key suppliers to leverage Eaton’s purchases and reduce costs across all business units. This position is also responsible for the implementation of Indirect programs and supplier performance management.

• Procurement of indirect Category & Commodities (Capital, MRO, Facility Services, Packaging, PS/IT and other service etc.) for Eaton through bidding, benchmarking, and negotiation.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to achieve assigned special projects and or initiative outcomes.
• Supplier base development, prequalification and management to ensure cost-effective supply with consistent quality and acceptable service & delivery levels.
• In compliance with Eaton procurement policy and T&Cs; Monitors and reports Operations’ compliance to service agreements and strategy
• Assist all functions in negotiating long term contracts to ensure optimal supply and cost structures as well as filling
• Data collection and analysis with accuracy, with ERP system maintenance if need.
• Support APAC indirect manager to establishes and leads regional/country cross-functional, multi operation supplier selection process teams
• Keep efficient communication within user department and SCM interfaces.
• Liaison with all levels of Eaton businesses and external vendors/suppliers whilst maintaining excellent customer relationship.
• Responsible for monthly reports regarding indirect outsourcing & procurement activities as well as Oracle data maintenance
• Annual cost saving action according to cost saving target of company and make annual reporting of cost saving status
• Drive the regular plant SCM communication such council meeting and provide the coaching to plant SCM.

• Bachelors degree holder or above.
• Have understanding of the business unit needs at a sub-regional level.
• Understands technical specifications, product performance requirements, manufacturing processes, and end user expectations.
• Possesses strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Ability to develop and negotiate effective commercial contracts on behalf of Eaton.
• Maintains awareness of other functional roles and responsibilities and how they support Corporate and business objectives.
• Possesses intimate knowledge of labor industry trends and risks
• SAP purchasing; e-Procurement implementation experience.
• Understands international tax, duty, tariff implications for global commodities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Fluent in English, both reading and writing
• Highly responsible, with strong logical thinking ability and team spirit.
• Ability to lead and get results through people.
