ITS Security Engineer Technology AU Hybrid

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Engineering, implementing, configuring and supporting security applications across customer environments.
• Primary ownership and technical leadership of security platforms including KnowBe4, SentinelOne, ThreatLocker, Huntress, EasyDMARC, Zscaler, Tenable, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel.
• Monitoring, tuning and maintaining security toolsets to ensure optimal protection and performance.
• Investigating and resolving escalated security alerts and incidents along with platform-related issues.
• Participating in security incident response activities and post-incident reviews.
• Working collaboratively with internal security specialists, service desk teams, and project teams.
• Identifying security gaps and recommending improvements or additional controls.
• Supporting vulnerability management activities including scanning, remediation tracking, and reporting.
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation, procedures, and customer reporting.
• Staying current with emerging security threats, tools, and industry trends.
• Assisting with customer security uplift initiatives, training, and platform adoption.
  
  

• Strong hands-on experience engineering and supporting security platforms.
• Minimum of 4-5 years’ experience in a Security Engineer, Security Platforms Engineer, or similar role.
• Demonstrated experience with EDR, MDR, application control, security awareness training, email security, vulnerability management, and Microsoft security solutions.
• Strong understanding of attack vectors, threat intelligence, and security controls.
• Ability to translate security requirements into technical configurations and customer outcomes.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and documentation skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience working within ITIL-aligned service delivery environments.
• Relevant certifications (Microsoft Security, vendor security certifications, ITIL, or cyber security certifications) highly regarded.
