Project Officer

The Application Systems Officer is responsible for supporting the effective management and performance of application systems across the wealth management business. This role focuses on the application lifecycle, managing enhancements and change requests, gathering and writing requirements, conducting UAT, and ensuring platforms are secure, resilient, and meet business needs while complying with regulatory requirements. The officer will also be responsible for disaster recovery planning, testing, and reporting. The officer will collaborate with internal teams and vendors to optimize usage and adoption of application systems.

Core Responsibilities

• Manages the full application lifecycle for wealth management platforms, ensuring systems are secure, resilient, and continually updated to meet evolving business needs
• Handles application enhancements and change requests, ensuring that they are appropriately documented, reviewed, and approved
• Writes detailed business and technical requirements for new features or changes, working closely with business stakeholders
• Conducts User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new features and system updates to ensure they meet business and functional requirements
• Collaborates with the Head of Technology Services to prioritize platform upgrades, enhancements, and system improvements
• Drives usage and adoption of the application systems working with end users and vendors.
• Manages relationships with vendors to ensure effective service delivery, adherence to contract terms, and achievement of performance metrics
• Coordinates with vendors to resolve technical issues, tracks performance, ensures continuous improvements in service levels and optimal usage of functions and features
• Supports contract management, ensuring renewals, compliance, and performance reviews are handled appropriately
• Monitors and maintains application performance and security, collaborating with IT and security teams to implement best practices
• Develops, tests, and reports on disaster recovery plans to ensure application resilience and business continuity
• Supports compliance and audit activities, ensuring applications meet business and regulatory requirements
  
  

• Bachelors degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field; certifications such as ITSM, ITIL, PMP, or relevant application management certifications are a plus
• 3 to 5 years of experience in business systems analysis and application management or related technology roles, preferably in financial services or wealth management
• Experience in vendor management, application lifecycle management, and system performance monitoring
• Strong background in business systems analysis, managing enhancements, documenting requirements, conducting UAT, and implementing change requests
• Familiarity with disaster recovery planning, testing, and reporting
• Strong understanding of application security, resilience, and compliance in a regulated environment
